Hello Again // Getting Messy with Paint

So I started this blog and then disappeared for ages. Long story short, the Fatigue had been horrendous and it has been stressful because of redundancy worries. Well, I am feeling better, the fatigue has calmed down a bit and I am going to see a CFS/ME specialist in a couple of weeks so hopeful I will learn some new strategies on how to manage my time and tiredness. I also have a new job so am currently working out my notice to hopefully start my new role as a Support Worker next month. My boyfriend moved in with me and he has a new job, so it has been a time of fresh starts and feeling better. We can't wait.

In regard of my art work, I have recently been experimenting a lot with abstract styles and getting messy. Is has been fun and colourful. I had a huge IKEA frame that I wanted to create some artwork for, so thought I would bounce back and share my progress so far.

Thats all for now.

Days from my Desk: Sketchbook Doodle

The past few days I have been trying to re-adjust a routine that involves my creative work and my job. Currently, my job is winning, and with this spout of illness, I am finding it very hard to be rested enough to do anything in the evenings. Anyways, with that in mind, I wanted to share with you a couple of pages from my sketchbook. I have been doodling at times, and I believe picking up a pencil is better than nothing, right?

I saw a challenge over on Jemmas Blog, Dorkface, called 12 Projects. I will be challenging myself to take part and I will share my creations along the way, because at the end of the year I hope to look back and have a nice little body of work. I call it a challenge, because I don't want to let myself down and for the project to just disappear like previous attempts of 365 projects and so on. I want to set myself little design briefs and be a little bit disciplined and stick to it. This is for me, so I have nothing to lose, as long as at the end of December 2015, I can look back and see what I have created.

The challenge is this: Completing a project each month. Anything goes, as long as I am engaged, it is creative that I have explored a project or created something. Now this is a project I like the sound of.

Thats all for now. If anyone else is taking part, leave a link to your blog below.

Photography Diary // Positive People.

My friends, My Birthday.

I want to share a few Photographs that I took of people who are very dear to me. This lovely bunch are some of my oldest and newest friends from where I live. This was the night of my birthday in October last year, MC was hiding out of the way not feeling to well, but this lot here making the most noise ever, laughing, singing and acting far younger then are years. But if there is one thing I feel when I look back at these photographs, is how happy they make me feel when I am in their company. And that is exactly it. Happiness. They are positive people, good to be around and I have lots of memories shared with these guys. Weeks can past and time never changes a thing. Being happy is one of my main focuses for this year.

My friends, My Birthday.

It is important to spend your time with positive company. With people who support you and not drag you down. I am lucky that I have a good support network of friends.

Things to Remember...

DAYS AT MY DESK 005 - Things to remember...

I cant decide on any resolutions this year apart from focus of my creative work and getting better. There are a few things, however, that I want to bare in mind as I go forward into the new year.

Move On - I don't mean necessarily letting go of the past, but what is done is done, and I have made some great memories from 2014. And thats just it, memories. I like to look back and I can see my live has done a whole 360 degree turn, but i'm fine  with that, all is good. Just don't let anything hold you back...move on, move forward.

Embrace Change - I think I am in for a few changes this year. Career wise, I am unsure where it is going and have learnt that there is nothing I can do about it right now other than embrace it. As I mentioned above, my life has changed, I made the most of it. Sometimes you have no control over the cards you are dealt in life, so my advice it to just go with it and don't stress. Learning curves and all that.

Be Kind - I always say it. Be kind to yourself. Be kind to those around you. It is a simple as that.

Stay Happy - This is a biggy for me; I have learnt in life, that I have to do the things that make me happy. What I don't mean is quitting on the first signs of things going wrong. If in the long run, if I feel something is making me unhappy, or effecting my wellbeing, then I change it. It is again about learning what is good for you. We have one shot at life, the least we owe ourselves is to have a happy life.

DAYS AT MY DESK 004 - Things to remember...

Thats is it for 2014. It has been fun, memories have been made, things have been challenging, but over all it has all been a good year. I am more than ready for 2015 and seeing where this next chapter of my life takes me. New Relationship, New Ambitions and Working Hard.

Happy New Year to you all, from me, in my little studio space.

Stay Happy, Stay Creative.
